Our History

Committed to Making a Difference

Creative Mindz is a non-profit based agency Founded by Robin Ollison providing performing arts, mental health, mentoring, reform, cultural and educational enrichment and outreach programs for youth from middle school to college age.

In addition to self-expression through performing arts at risk youth are matched with caring adult volunteers who are trained to focus on positive reinforcement, trust-building, and the achievement of goals, by engaging youth in one-on-one peer support, outings, and group adventures.

Creative Mindz has a primary emphasis on hands-on development and learning through performing arts activities. This improves student’s confidence and self-esteem. We will also teach them to be more outgoing and enthusiastic in their performances. We will also teach them the importance of being punctual and having a good work ethic. Allow them to be creative. We want to give our kids a chance to implement new dance routines and positive skits that will send positive messages to encourage their peers.

We also will provide them the necessary tools to be leaders. In order to be great leaders, our youth must learn to be great followers. We want our youth to learn to stand firm on their word and most importantly learn to lead by example, while still incorporating elements of pure entertainment. What will set CM apart is the overall commitment to provide quality and convenience for the community. The Founding staff prides themselves on the fact that we were once the children we are trying to reach. Knowing first-hand what the community was lacking while we were growing up gives the facility a warmer presence.
